Meet your doctors
Dr. Pilling and Dr. Stackowicz have placed over 20,000 implants with a 99%+ success rate. They personally oversee every case at Dental Implant Solutions, and they teach other surgeons advanced implant techniques as senior mentors at Implant Pathway.
Dr. Pilling has spent more than 20 years in implant dentistry, and he was the first dentist in Idaho to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology. He routinely performs full-mouth reconstructions and teaches them too: to other doctors through Implant Pathway, and in his own small-group course here in Meridian.
Dr. Stackowicz trained as a dentist and a physician. He earned his DDS at Indiana University, then did an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in Houston, where he also earned his MD. He’s known for remote anchorage implants (pterygoid, zygomatic and transnasal), which can give people with severe upper-jaw bone loss fixed teeth after they’ve been told they’re out of options.
He moved his family to Idaho in 2020 for the outdoors. Outside the office he’s usually skiing or running ultramarathons, some over 100 miles.
Dental Implants
Most people we see are dealing with dentures that slip, or teeth that are failing. Some just have one gap they’re tired of hiding. Here’s what we do for each.
Full-Mouth Implants (All-on-X)
For anyone missing most or all of their teeth, or tired of dentures that slip. A full arch of teeth is fixed onto four to six implants, so nothing comes out at night, and you go home with new teeth the same day.

Single-Tooth Implants
An implant replaces the root of the missing tooth, and a crown goes on top. It’s fixed in place, it doesn’t lean on the teeth next to it, and you care for it like your own teeth.

How it starts
In one visit you’ll find out if you’re a candidate, which treatment will give you the best results, what it costs (including financing and insurance), and the complete timeline to your new smile.
Sit down with Dr. Pilling or Dr. Stackowicz and talk through your goals. A detailed 3D scan of your jaw shows whether you’re a candidate now, or whether bone loss or gum disease needs treating first.
Sedation is available if you want it. Your implants are placed with 3D-printed surgical guides made from your scan, and with full-mouth implants you go home with new teeth the same day. Get back to normal activity in 3–7 days.
Your implants take three months or more to fuse with your jawbone. Once they have, your final custom bridge is made and fitted, and your bite is checked so it feels right.

Often, yes. Bone loss doesn’t automatically rule you out. Depending on where it is and how much, your plan may include bone grafting, or zygomatic or pterygoid implants that anchor into denser bone. Dr. Pilling or Dr. Stackowicz will check your jawbone at your consult.
Yes. With full-mouth implants, your implants and a set of temporary teeth go in at the same appointment, so you go home with new teeth the same day. Your final teeth are fitted once your implants have fused with your jawbone.
Surgery is done with anesthesia, and sedation is available if you want it. Some tenderness, swelling or soreness afterward is normal and temporary, and you can get back to normal activity in 3–7 days.
The surgery itself can be done in one day. Your jawbone then needs three months or more to heal before your final teeth are attached, so the whole process takes several months. You’ll get your complete timeline at your consult.
With good care, the implants themselves can last decades. The teeth attached to them can wear over time and may need maintenance or replacing eventually. Keep up with your cleanings, because implants need them just like natural teeth.
It depends on whether you need one tooth, one arch or both, how many implants you need, and things like extractions, bone grafting and sedation. So we don’t quote a price before your exam and 3D scan. You’ll know the full cost before anything starts.
